Vendor Relations & Compliance Specialist

Has passion for promotional products and apparel and loves working with those that manufacture and source that product. They are analytical yet creative, as one moment they’ll work on vendor/CSR projects and the next moment needs to be very creative with new products. They are interested in how these items are made, and have no problem rattling off the pros/cons of stainless steel versus aluminum, or what comprises a tri-blend fabric. Not only are they genuinely excited about product, they understand the long term value of sourcing items in an ethical manner, partnering with manufacturers and suppliers that always put the safety and well-being of their workers first.


You will be responsible for creating and maintaining internal and external relationships by working closely with vendors, licensing contacts and our internal Account Managers.  This is a very fast paced, highly detailed driven position. 


We are a screen printer, promo product peddler, graphic design firm and warehouse/fulfillment center; but most of all - we are brand evangelists. We tackle every project with unbridled enthusiasm, promising that in the end we always make the Best Shirts & Swag Ever.

Product Education & Insights
  1. In-depth training on our key product categories & decoration methods.
  2. Quarterly content on trending products as well as seasonal items to pitch
  3. Develop programs with key vendors to get items in the hands of our team to wash/wear
  4. Specific remote staff support Training
  5. In-office tradeshows during times remote staff is in house

Product Discovery
  1. Manage internal search tools such as SAGE, product search tool and yammer
  2. In conjunction with marketing manage product website & seasonal product
  3. Monitor retail to stay on top of trends and brands that we could introduce to promo

Vendor Relationship Management
  1. Oversee all vendor relationships
  2. Vendor Agreements
  3. Conflict Resolution Process
  4. Brands/vendors not in promo
  5. Compliance Committee
  6. High Volume quotes

Importing & Factory Direct
  1. Out of office backup for importing manager
  2. Collaborate with Importing Manager
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in vendor relations, corporate responsibility, or product testing is a must
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and good with picking up the phone
  • Analytical thinker with a proven ability to problem solve, think critically and make immediate decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop productive partnerships with peers, clients and vendors
  • Very organized and impeccable time management skills as you must track everything you work on, and there are a lot of projects you are working on at the same time
  • Demonstrate ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to hold yourself accountable. You don’t have a “list” of things to do every day, so managing yourself is extremely important
  • Passion for improving processes and a commitment to quality
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience
  • Strong PC Skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet)
